April News - CD Release Party at The Mix

Happy Spring!

It's been an exciting winter for me, but I'm very ready to move on to warmer weather and new frontiers. I've got some cool projects coming up in the next few months that I look forward to sharing with you.

That will have to wait, however, because this newsletter is all about the Release Party for Four-Color Heroes! The show is in less than two weeks - April 18th, at The Mix in Georgetown. It's going to be a really fun show - my friends Osmosis will be opening and the Nickel & Brass Septet will be playing two sets. I'll have plenty of CDs for sale, as will everyone in the band. Doors open at 8pm.

If you're looking to make a night of it in Georgetown, be sure to run around the corner to Fantagraphics Books and check out their new exhibit of artwork by Jaime Hernandez and Stan Sakai. I had the chance to see the show and meet both artists this past weekend at the opening. Both are comics legends and seeing their art in person is a real treat. The Fantagraphics store closes at 7pm, so check out the exhibit, read some comics, grab dinner in the neighborhood and then come on over to The Mix.
